A native of Georgia, Sarah Dan arrives in New England with a passion for teaching people of all ages to find their voice through various instruments. A multi-instrumentalist, Sarah Dan teaches piano, guitar, flute, djembe (hand percussion) and voice on beginning and intermediate levels, and encourages composition and knowledge of theory as it pertains to making music with others. Sarah Dan received her BA in Piano Performance in 1998 from North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia, where her honors include the Dismukes Outstanding Musician for that year, and Magna Cum Laude for the graduating class of 1998. She has been a teaching artist for over 13 years, and also travels around the country presenting workshops on Building Community Through Music. Active as a Unitarian Universalist Musician, Sarah Dan has collaborated with musicians of varying skills, abilities and gifts from individuals to groups of over 3000. She also serves as President of the Unitarian Universalist Musician's Network, a national organization of over 700 members serving UU congregations continentally.
