Matt Jenson
At the age of 23, Matthew Jensen has been religiously playing the guitar for almost nine years now. Since picking up the instrument in high school he’s played in over 16 musical ensembles & bands, played over 350 gigs, and taught over 95 different students; experience that shines through in both his stage performance and in the lesson room.
His guitar playing has been described as a rocky, bluesy, jazzy, folky, & country blend that holds a sound of its own. Outside of Concord he can be seen throughout New England performing as lead guitarist for a handful of groups, including a local favorite to Concord, “Dusty and The Know”.
After graduating in 2005 from UMass Lowell’s performance & music business programs, he’s recently returned to his NH roots excited to catch up with the music scene he once lived and breathed. In his final year at UMass, faculty named Jensen “The top up and coming guitarist in the greater Boston area.” He remembers the gigs in Concord when it all began, and can’t wait for students who are looking to rock the local scene!
